First public release version providing the following functionality:

  • Backup task and profiles:
    • Specific backup tasks can be configured in 27 (25+2) different backup profiles (also called backup sections)
  • Backup (and restore) functionality:
    • The program distinguishes between two core backup types. Each backup profile (section) can be configured to be of:
      • [NORMAL] backup type or
      • [MIRROR] backup type.
    • Restores can be configured in the same way as backups only with different symbols used indicating the type, [NORMAL] or [MIRROR], and direction of the copy (restore) process hence being:
      • [RESTORE - NORMAL] or
      • [RESTORE - MIRROR].
    • Combo backups are a special TMS Backup feature which allows to combine and link up two backup profiles to later be selected and performed combined and in sequence.
      • [COMBO] special backup feature.
  • Administrative and user mode:
    • TMS Backup distinguishes between two run modes namely the [ADMIN/USER] mode and the [NO MODE]. This allows for the security levels to be adjusted in accordance to personal, end user or institutional requirements.
  • Program and backup configuration:
    • All backup (and restore) configurations as well as other program configurations are done graphically through GUI input windows.nce to personal, end user or institutional requirements.
  • Import and export of configuration:
    • Configurations can be easily exported and imported allowing for easy transfer from one to another installation.
  • Backup and program logs:
    • All backup and program actions are recorded in the program log file.
  • Help and massaging:
    • Detailed help screens can be accessed throughout the program.
  • SysInfo analysis:
    • SysInfo analysis is a tool which allows to run a system check with the objective to gather some key operating system as well as program information.
